Mech cluster landing inside buildings?
I just had a mech cluster land literally on top of/inside of my base and smash it to pieces. Never had this happen before in hundreds of hours of play.

Is this intentional, a bug, a new thing, etc? If the former, what a retarded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea.

Yes, Center Drop raids are a thing.
Yes, they are stupid.

Sounds like a bug, clusters are supposed to avoid your base. Could be a mod issue or just a fluke. It's definitely not an intentional thing or something that has been changed.

I'm not using any mods would affect it directly. The only thing I can figure is that I'm on a small map with a lot of rocks and limited space, but still there's at least one spot not in my base that they've landed in the past.

Literally game ruining since the clusters are about the size of my base buildings so they just demolish ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything. Happened twice now.

Could be it, maybe clearing out your map will stop it from happening. Clusters are supposed to spawn like sieges, but they can definitely have a much larger footprint and if they can't fit cleanly somewhere else on the map they might just pick a random spot. For example that other spot you mentioned might fit something like a 30x40 cluster, but a 40x30 cluster would bump into mountains on the side or something and divert elsewhere. I've never run into this playing on larger maps so that's just a guess.

I usually play on larger maps. Wanted to try a smaller one to see if it would lessen late game lag. I shrunk my home zone and the next cluster only clipped a wall instead of eating the whole building, so maybe that worked. It also landed half in a cave and actually collapsed overhead mountain roof into the tunnels which is something else I've never seen before. Could also have just been coincidence.
