Keeping cool outside

Im trying to make a ground pen scanner to find minerals about and i was wondering if theres a way to force the area its in to be cool since im in a super hot tropical rainforest that sits at around 40-68 degrees c

As far as I know there's no way to cool down the outdoors. Grow some devilstrand and make dusters out of em and cowboy hats (or literally any apparel that gives heat insulation.). Alternatively you could install a mod that allows placing ground penetrating scanner indoors.

If its early game and your colonist dont mind it, naked and a shadecone + cave living otherwise like above dusters and cowboy hats

Use Devilstrain clothing. It give you pretty awesome heat resistance.
