My mods re stuck on "downloading..." and will not finish.

This is related to my other issue witch i fixed by uninstalling rim wold and reinstalling it did this on my old laptop i am now on PC and switching devises entire is what worked.dose anyone know a solution because PSs are expensive.

There are probably some problems with the workshop.

I have been waiting a few hours for some mods to download.
They showed up as "downloading..." in the mod list but never finished.

Now they don't even show up as downloading and they are just gone from the list.
I tried to unsubscribe and resubscribe but it does not help.

Bloody hell how dos that get worse than it already was more or less the backbone of rimwold is mods AND WE CANT EVEN USE THEM

I had the same issue with mods not downloading yesterday. What worked for me was clearing the download cache in Steam settings and reverting the game to the previous version - 1.4.3563.

I found another solution. Just subscribe to a random mod in the workshop. Somehow the game will reawaken the downloading process and download them all. Lmk if it helped

I've tried both ways of clearing the cache and reverting to older version or just choosing a random one. none have worked and its stuck saying download in the game. what else can i try?

Restarting steam can help trigger it work properly. Fully close down steam, not just the x at the top right, and load it back up. That usually works for me when steam is acting up anyways. Try subbing to a different mod as well if you haven't tried that already

I would do that by clicking on the steam Icon in the top left corner and click Exit, just want to make sure i did it right I did what I just Wrote will let you know if that works. if I did it wrong please let me know.

I did that and it didn't work. I have also uninstalled the game then installed it again and that doesn't work. I might have done it wrong.

No, that should have been fine. Somewhere in the properties is an option to not update the game until launch or something to that effect. Uncheck that if it is, but I'm just guessing that it could be an issue and don't know for certain it would be

I allowed "update when steam decide" not on launch and Downloaded another mod just to get it started. I also did the whole uninstall, restart computer switch off router etc. thing. The download another mod thing worked for me I think. It took 15 minutes for the download to even start so there was some shenanigans there .
