How to control crazy Biotech human birthrate?
I've looked around but couldn't find anything specific to Biotech DLC. I've worked with other mods before this DLC but I like the system itself just my ladies are pumping out babies like wild.

Seems like a simple mod could fix that, is there one out there you can recommend?

In the social tab you can set the modifier for chance of pregnancy by clicking on the icon beside their partners name. I think it goes Low: 25% chance, Normal: 100% chance, High 400% chance.

Just use the tools already in the game to deal with that. Did you look under the operations tab? No double beds should also do the trick.

(Don't you have to research reproductive stuff first to get that operation you speak of..?)

Just like any other animal, you could just cull some and mix them into feedstock for the others.

Yes I'm managing vie the operations right now but that requires Glittermeds for me and I'm playing Neolithic so I was hoping for game option to slow that down. Later on I can manage via birth control which finally has a use lol but starting Neolithic tribal will take me a while to get there - and that's on purpose btw.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

You can terminate pregnancies with herbal medicine. Even the tubal ligation/vasectomies can be done with herbal medicine. Glitterworld medicine just provides the best surgery chances, it's only required for curing diseases like Blood Rot or Paralytic Abasia. You don't need IVF research either, it's a default operation.

Besides surgery (well, sort of) you can modify your xenogenes before starting the game (or after with research) and add the "Low Libido" gene to your xenotype. Fewer instances of woohoo = fewer babies. You could use the Ugly gene too to help prevent relationships... but that also leads to social fights. The Sterile gene works too, just a little too well.

you do not require any research to terminate a pregnancy.
you do require research to sterilize your pawn (permanently or temporarily)

You do require an herbal medicine to terminate a pregnancy, and have to deal with an unproductive day while waiting for the anesthetic to wear off

Brilliant thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for.
