How does one actually keep the stellarch happy?
Can i just shove the fella in an ultra-nice room and pump him full of every kind of drug known to man while giving him top quality meals made from the finest orphan meat there is? Do i actually need to make my entire colony super nice to live in, or would something like that be enough.

Max out their happiness through hard drugs and keep anesthetizing them. Or give them deathrest gene and keep them asleep all the time.

He just needs a bedroom of impressiveness +80, royal bed, end table, dresser, drape and ofc floored, size 30+. That's easily done.
The issue is the throne room. He needs a 160+ room, with all sorts of stuff. I cant remember what but you can look it up in the game actually when clicking on your pawns title and scroll down.

It ofc helps when your base is safe, so the eventual raiders can't reach him and that you minimize potential debuffs like darkness, slept in the cold, see dead bodies etc. But at this point you should have a well functioning colony plus you can ofc restrict him to certain areas of your base.

A bit meta is the usage of a joywire. If you've obtained one and have a decent doctor you can implant it and he won't be an issue. Drugs are a light version of that but in my last run the stellarch's ideology forbid body modification and they were drug use medical only so that was no choice. Lavish food is ofc a given.

Also keep in mind that he brings 4 guards with him so make sure you have rooms for them as well.

I believe you should be able to create a specific zone that you assign him to (because he counts as a temporary colonist you can control while he is there). Then assign him to that zone. Only include your nicest areas in his zone spots so he doesn't randomly decide to go hang out by the ugliest, dirtiest areas of your map and then get pissed at you for his awful view. Make sure his bedroom is zoned in, and a space where he can grab your best quality meals and view your statues, and whatever else you have going on.
