Anyone suggest other games similar to Rimworld?

Game is probably one of my favourite games by far but im looking to take just a tiny break from it and maybe give another game a try

Anyone know any games that are similar to rimworld in the aspects such as

- Freedom to build how i want
- some sort of PvE conflict i.e raids, attacks or some sort of war (impending danger)
- decent progression something similar to rimworld where the longer i live for the more advanced i can become

Been looking around and there doesn't seem to be many games that even has the first two

I've tried playing
-Going medieval (pretty solid game, had alot of fun)
-Oxygen Not Included, It was actually pretty good but eventually found the game a bit too easy and boring
-Space Havan was alright but the whole aesthetic of the game was a bit meh to me, Much rather be on the ground
-Dwarf fortress was alright but kinda just felt weird to play and wasn't all that visually appealing either

Anyone got any other similar suggestions?

Conan exiles. PvP in that game can get crazy and raiding bases is fun. You can level up and pick skills and perks, and you can also capture NPCs, enslave them and then make them guards for your base or companions that level up as well.

Ah conan, Pretty good game but i was hoping something that was more of a City Builder/colony sim more alike to rimworld where its more PVE focused

I dont think there's many like this that also have PvP like you asked in the original post. The most similar games to rimworld I can think of are dwarf fortress, maybe prison architect. I saw a rimworld clone looking game that was set in space ships, but I think it's still in early development.

Give Kenshi a look, good survival game, with some base building, constant raids, progression to boot, and theres something to be said when your group gets downed and slavers come by and you spend the next month or six getting them out of chains.

My bad that was meant to say PVE but still great suggestions, I haven't played Prison Architect but its one i've been keeping my eye on, Dwarf fortress was alright but wasn't all that visually appealing, felt like i was playing a Top Down poor mans Terraria

Kenshi is a pretty good game but i've been on and off it for awhile now

Both are good games but i want a game thats more alike to Rimworld than a skirmisher, You know a semi open world game, Freedom to build, survivors with skills, PvE and hopefully a game which will go on and on

Dwarf Fortress just released. It's a very in-depth colony sim. Unfortunately it lacks a lot of QoL features that Rimworld has, such as "Craft X amount" or "Craft until you have X". Such a simple feature that you immediately hate not having.

There's also Going Medieval, which is a middle ages version of Rimworld. Still in production, mind.

Yeah i loved going medieval was really a great game but i've played it to the point where im just waiting for new updates now a days as i've played a fair amount of playthroughs now
