Why Do Nannies Feed Food to Babies That Will Poison Them
The childcare workers in my colony will overlook baby food and will feed the kids foods like insect jelly and milk, both of which will give the babies food poisoning. In the nursery there is a fridge full of nice safe baby food, so why the bad food first.

milk and insect jelly are considered good for consumption for babies (together with baby food).

The problem is that milk and insect jelly have small flat food poisoning chances (2%) which at small doses doesn't really cause a problem until you take it often enough. 2% per consumption. 2 meals per day makes that ~4% chance per day.

You can disable this by clicking on the baby, select the feeding panel, and disable insect jelly and milk.

I think they pick insect jelly first because it is considered a higher quality food. Not sure about the milk though

how about that...

even baby food falls into the food poisoning category when prepared by a low skill cook... or when made out of literally any ingredient.

i once had an incident were one of the youngsters got food poisoning twice in a row because of dangerous ingredient (berries) and the food was made by a lvl 20 cook.

Even a lvl 20 cook still has a minute chance of food poisoning. It's likely the kitchen was very dirty when this happened as this is a separate check afaik.

The first time the first baby I had from the DLC was fed, it was fed with milk and the baby got food poisoning. Very first time. Have been sure to stockpile baby food for new colonies ever since.

Set a food restriction? Isn't this what the food restriction is for? I have yet to give my babies food poisoning.
