RimWorld

I think the "Lights" could be adjusted a bit.
I started writing this long and elaborate post about how I think Lights take up too much power, but then I compared the power usage of some lamps to laptops/computers, and it seems almost feasible, that the lights in Rimworld consume so much Wattage.

On the other hand, I really like to keep my base well lit.

Would it be a bad suggestion for the Standing Lamps to consume a bit less power? Or perhaps if there were different variations of lights, some of which would be indoor some outdoor? Considering just how much power a single light needs keeping a whole base lit could be insane.

And, on that note... I think automatic lighting (lights going on and off when people enter/leave rooms, or when they sleep in their bedrooms) would be a great addition as well.

Yes, there's consensus electrical lamp use too much power.

But if your colony isn't in tundra/desert/ice sheet, you can now use torch lamps. They're almost as good, yes they need to be refueled but they use surprisingly little wood.

Firstly lights are useless in bedrooms modifier wise so no need for lights theres, other then that the only place you need lights are the kitchen, crafting area and party area. Lights are also meant to consume that much power but once you get a geothermal or two running alongside a few solar + battery pack areas its not an issue.

Akarin, I know there might be no modifiers involved, but it's about my own visual appeal! :p

No lights in my bedrooms, only have 2 lights currently, one in the main dining hall and one in the production facility.
