improve social relationships?
Did anybody find a way how to improve relationsships between colonists? So far it seems that it is soley based on their traits (hard working vs lazy -> dislike) and random interactions for which we don''t seem to have any control over. Can you actively change two people who hate each other?

I haven't heard of anyone making a mod like that, the only way that I cant think of changing it is going into dev mode.

having a nice rec room helps with social. no real way of changing it, some people just dont like each other.

I thought having a nice rec room just changed their mood, nothing else

you can cheese it if you make a heated room, draft one of the colonist and make him stand in it until he/she collapses, use the hated colonist to rescue him/her. repeat until desired effect.

Make sure that the colony has plenty of time for joyous activities, and the joy objects such as chess and billiards. Make spacious rooms and an all around better colony. The more happy your colonists are, it seems the less grumpy they are with social interactions and such. If you are raided and one of your colonists has the enemy social relationship with a raider, use the colonist that dislikes the one with said relation to kill the raider with said relation. This not only gives a mood boost, but temporary one-way social boost that might be enough to get the colonists to have deep talks rather than social fights. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Seems reasonable

one of the first things I built are the "horseshoe pin" under "Joy" it seems to help alot with keeping fights down in the earlier stages.

also I find that if both have "Grow" as active task even though the dislike each other they keep it to mostly civil talks when working together :)

What about parties? Never had one so far, i guess i need some beers for that. (Im playing in a harsh tundra biome and didn't had the energy to plant hops) but would parties improve relations with one another? would make sense.

Uhh I hope that happen when a "male" colonist finally join right now I am in winter year 1 in this playthrue and started with 3 females(two sister (29 and 32 if I am not mistaken) and a elderly with dementia age 83) and a 4th female joined in the summer I think it was :) so a wedding would certainly live the place up a bit.

::EDIT::

@Eddy63 oh on the party I just have one of my colonist throwing one even though I do not have any beers... She had however had a couple of days of high Mood modifiers. infat right now I have her mood at 100% so that might be the trigger for a party :)

My colony is just past the 300 day mark and most of my colonists hate each other... i have 2 very impressive rec rooms with a super sweet tv, nice chairs, pool, poker (mod), a couple horseshoe pins (somewhere) and a very nice little "church" i made for wedding ceremonies. They still mostly dislike each other.. not sure what to do. I havent had any social fights remarkably but i want to try to fix this.

@ErTh32 are your colonists getting torn up? I've noticed as mine take more hits that leave scars or missing body parts, others start to hate them due to the disfigurement.
