Any way to edit colonists?
As awesome as this game comes of as, I don't see why the feature of naming/renaming/editing colonists is there. I saw there are mods for it but they're not updated for Alpha 14 and don't plan to be. Is there any way to fully customize my characters and animals? Anyone know where there are updated mods?

Part of the game is having randomized stats, so noone is "too strong". You can reroll characters at your leisure. You can rename them as well.

I'm afraid you won't be able to for a bit but i'm sure someone will take over the Prepare Carefully mod. Anyway I hope so... Same for the combat realism mod.

I think with the scenario editor u can set some parameters for the colonists - including age and percentage chance for certain traits - not exactly prepare carefully but similar

while theres no real way to edit animals there's a mod called "edb prepare carefully" and i think it'll be updated soon since it's been updated pretty fast with the other updates

Unfortunately the mod author came out today saying that he/she will not continue work on it, as they have lost interest. I think it's still outdated to Alpha 11.

One of my issues is aesthetic, say I have a colonist named after me, or someone I know, I'd like to make it accurate. As far as skills go, I'd like to distribute them to my liking. It'd still be balanced regardless the way I would do it. Besides, say if I'd like my own role playing story and have fictional characters, I'd like to have it done as it fits my role play.

Hopefully somebody picks up and continues "prepare carefully" - that was my favorite mod.

Found it! 1º: Enable Develoment Mode in the Options menu; 2º: Click in the top icon white (mouse hover the one with title "Debug Actions Menu"); 3º choose the button T:SetSkill; 4º Choose the value for the skill. 5º Left click in the character to apply the new skill value. 6º Right click to finish.
