I think the bionic stomach prevents gut worms once installed.
A bionic stomach instantly cancels it, even if the colonist does get infected.
"With it installed, further infections are also prevented."
I guess the wiki is wrong. I have installed a few bionic stomachs on colonists and they never came down with gut worms but I don't know if I'm just lucky =P
I think wiki is a bit outdated. ( Idk if bionic stomach prevented gut worms in prev versions, and tbh dono if its do or not in 1.0.) But there are infos in the wiki what are already outdated since 1.0
My colonists also never got food poisoning from dirty cooking area since 1.0 even though my kitchen area just had dirt as flooring for the first several years. Only time I got food poisoning from dirty cooking area was when I accidentally placed fecal sludge in the same room as my kitchen. lol.
Just lucky I guess. ^.^
There was no bionic stomach in previous versions. Well maybe in the pre-release one, didn't play much of that.
