Prevent Gut Worms?
I know we can take precautions to possibly prevent food poisoning, heat stroke and so on but other diseases such as gut worms and muscle parasite... Are there precautions we can take to help prevent them? Or are they like old age and we all get them from time to time?

Gut worms are a random event, you can't prevent it.

A bionic stomach instantly cancels it, even if the colonist does get infected.

I think the bionic stomach prevents gut worms once installed.

I guess the wiki is wrong. I have installed a few bionic stomachs on colonists and they never came down with gut worms but I don't know if I'm just lucky =P

I think wiki is a bit outdated. ( Idk if bionic stomach prevented gut worms in prev versions, and tbh dono if its do or not in 1.0.) But there are infos in the wiki what are already outdated since 1.0

Yeah, I don't know for sure either. Actually, I don't know if I can even get gut worms in the tundra, I don't really remember when the last time I had gut worms was. I tend to get flu and plague more often.

My colonists also never got food poisoning from dirty cooking area since 1.0 even though my kitchen area just had dirt as flooring for the first several years. Only time I got food poisoning from dirty cooking area was when I accidentally placed fecal sludge in the same room as my kitchen. lol.

Just lucky I guess. ^.^

They don't get infected, because the bionic stomach prevents it. But you do get the message that they got Gut Worms.

There was no bionic stomach in previous versions. Well maybe in the pre-release one, didn't play much of that.
