Unless, of course, if Grish is right about only rescuing their master. I didn't think that was the case, but am not positive at all.
Maybe that is it. The animals are not bonded. I know they don't have to have a master though. I generally don't allow that to keep them out of battle and I've seen animals rescue anyway. But they still could have been bonded. I never paid that close attention. I'll have to keep an eye on that an see if there is a pattern. If that is the case I will hold off training them in rescue until they are bonded.
