Roof View?
Anyone tried to make a mod (or just seen one) that enables a toggle to view your buildings' roofs? I find it incredibly tedious to see where the 2 holes in my roof over a room happen to be, and it would also be helpful to see how much overhanging roof you have when mining out a hill so as to assign deroofers before collapse. I've searched everywhere and cannot find such a thing...help?

roof overview is planned for next update. dont know if it is finished yet, but tynan said that is something that was long on his list to do.

and if you have problems finding roof holes.
just use the zone-tools. roof everything or unroof everything zonelike.

Yeah the roof tools are good for this, I usethem to roof my little pillboxes made of sand bags and stone walls, very open concept but some stone walls to preven people shooting each other, and make it harder for them to flank my guys. I just like the roof so they don't sit in the rain while defending. Also I did a two teir wall system with a grove in the middle and found hard way how to use the roof system as they build a roof over the groves and killed the trees, so had to order them to never build a roof there.

I do use the zone tools, but the problem is if i have literally anything else for my colonists to build or repair, they will prioritize it over roofing. And they will almost never leave camp to go de-roof a mined out area on their own, even with construction priority set to 1. I can force them to go remove a section, but then i have to keep doing it for every section of roof, and if i miss one, it's going to come crashing down.
Some days the AI will just bug out and they won't ever do any roofing regardless of priorities or queues, and I'll have to restart, but that's a separate issue.
Am I doing something wrong?

hm i dont know, i also had that issue in the beginning with falling roofs and holes.
but after playing around with the zone tools, i had no porblem at all.

hm maybe you just have 1 dedicated builder?
let him be on 1-2 priority building and the others on 4.
so everyone can construct roofs.

if you have to build something important like a medical bed you want to be superior quality, then just deactivate all others or manually force the main builder to build the medical bed.

I have the same issue. the roof view says it has a roof but hovering over it says its not.

are you using the vieuw roof button on the bottom right instead of the roof zone?
the roof zone is to assign it to be roofed
if your colonists havnt had enough time to roof it there are going to be holes

To be clear on what Ashardalon is asking you...

There is two rows of icons in the lower right of the screen. The first icon in the bottom row is a picture of a house. When you click that, all the roofed tiles on the map (that you can see, not hidden tiles) show up with a green overlay. Light green for constructed and thin roofs, and dark green for overhead mountain roofs.
