i make it 2x3 and put warm air via vent into it. its important to have the rooms beautifull, where your colonist are most time. they dont change mood when sleeping and large bedrooms are a disadvantage because you have to build more, increase the wealth (and enemy strengh with it) and have bigger ways to walk.
the effort to make a bedroom with a plus mood is insane. Like make it 9x9 and putting statues everywhere. Not worth
BTW: walls doesnt matter so much. Just smooth the floor and put statues inside your big rooms like dinning room or workshop. place chairs at the workshops for more comfort. Upgrading to walls is more ästhetic.
one natural wall = -2
stonebrick wall = 0
one rough mountain floor = -1 (or so)
one smooth mountain floor = +3
a good wooden statue (grande) = +355 (<= the winner)
