Unfertilized chicken eggs
Unfertilized chicken eggs just crash landed, would like to build a chicken farm how do I go about hatching these eggs?

I currently don't have a hen or rooster, do I need to keep them in a warm room or something or do they just hatch by themselves?

u need fertilized eggs to do it

Um, they are unfertilized. Good for omeletes and whatnot but not for making chicks.

i also want to know how to get eggs and make a farm:)

Buy fertilized eggs or a breeding pair of whatever you want to farm.

Haven't come across any chickens, 3rd play through, must be rng...omelettes it is.

Thx
IRL eggs are fertalized before they are laid so I would assume the same is true in the game. Although I guess they could have changed the biology since everything is supposedly mutated.

damn, I get them too, and i'm here to ask the same question xD

You have to get fertalized eggs in order to make chickens. If you have them, just keep them in a warm room until they hatch.

Note that chickens can't be left outside in freezeing tempatures, you will need a sleeping/eating animal area that stays relatively warm. They require less food then most animals, however, and do produce eggs.

You can't fertalize eggs if they are unfertalized. Unfertalized eggs are just a food item, and will never hatch.

Thx, saw a playthrough the guy had a ton of chickens running around, wanted to have my own chicien farm lol. Seem to be quite rare haven't come across any yet

You need a ♥♥♥♥ and a hen. Put them together and they should instantly start tumbling the night away. Unfert. eggs will never hatch chicks in the game. Also, an unfert. egg counts as an alternative to meat and just 1 and 5 of whatever grown food is required to make a fine meal.

Oh I'm sorry Dr Dolittle, I apologize my lack of intellect has made u so 'surprised' u had to post a useless response. I also apologize for not having the privilidge of living on a farm my whole life.

I'm so 'surprised' ppl think games resemble real life, don't seem to realize the laws and physics of the game are made up. OMG RATS GO BOOM WHEN I KILL THEMM?!?!? MOMMY MOMMY...

2 other ppl also had the same question, I apologize u have to live with us ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thx to the other kind posts for helping.

Its not a lack of intellect, its the astonishing lack of basic science education. I knew "core curriculum" sounded like a corporate-driven farce, I just didn't realize it was this bad. Looks like my own kids are due for an impromptu science lesson tomorrow to make sure this concept is understood...the schools can't be counted on.

For something to grow into a mature form, it must be fertilized. Otherwise, its lacking half its genetic components and therefore incapable of growth as an organism (duplication and differentiation). Some plant species and rare invertebrates include life cycles where fertilization is merely optional, but by and large the ol' egg and sperm coming together are necessary to make a baby.

At least you're trying to be educational, but had I asked about the birds n the bees in a science forum you're are missing the point.

The fundamental question is what does the developer want us to do to fertilize eggs, not how does real life science work. The developer can make us go through any process he wants in his creative mind. I could have a PHD in science (surprise surprise I don't) but if the dev wants unfertilized eggs to hatch using a Hydro Thermal Galactic Phalllic Shaped Industrial Penetrator 3000 then it will happen in his 'game'.

If u want to talk about a better education system we should learn to listen, read and communicate more productively. Would be a lot less rubbish in forums.
