As far as any of us legitimately need to be concerned, take a peek at some of our politicians. There, you have some real psychopaths.
That's actually pretty easy. Psychotic or psychosis relates to a mental break from reality. It's different from psychopathy.
They should really use a wider variety of latin for these things.
This software is made for entertainment, not as reference book for psychology students.
Does the description explain the in-game behavior of the character wrong?
Then again, if I had billions of dollars and "experience" screwing people in government, I'd probably tell you that I too should be lord of the flies.
Bleh. It's all psychobabble anyway, but hey, pharma sure makes the big bucks with it!
Narcissism is a primary symptom of psychopathy. And why traits like jealous should be paired with the condition in game.
Another common misconception. Psychopaths are fully capable of what are called proto-emotions, and jealousy falls under that. While they might be different conditions the psychopathic checklist deals mainly with narcissistic qualities. It's often said psychopaths are malignant narcissists.
True sociopathy means the brain function for empathy are completely missing. This is generally present from birth either via genetic defect or brain damage, but can also appear later in life as a result of stroke or brain damage to the frontal lobe. People in this category can have some kind of ethical code (see the "Sherlock Holmes" character in the modern series), but otherwise are incapable of feeling real emotion save for self-preservation. Often this translates into the predator effect where they see themselves as different than their fellow man - their detachment makes them the lion among the gazelles.
As for the presidential candidates: Hillary has no credible anecdotal evidence of any kind of empathy dysfunction. She's perfectly capable of normal human reaction to situations and there is plenty of evidence for this. If you research some of the more outlandish things attributed to her, you'll see the sources don't ever really pan out. If you think she's (w)itchy, that's fine, but know that she's a perfectly intelligent and psychologically stable (w)itchy person.
Trump, by contrast, shows extreme signs of classical Narcissistic Personality Disorder and probably a few more on top of that. Also probably not a true sociopath, as he craves adoration as a motivation - not something found in true sociopaths.
I game to escape the endless political posts that have taken over the internet. Why you gotta drag that stanky, overdone topic into this? Post this stuff on some political news story comments or something. Let's use this place to talk about Rimworld.
Honestly most of taboo and "immoral" traits in this game are boons in secret. Bloodlust gives easy bonuses to soldiers, while keeping them from having any negatives from fighting. Cannibal can mean that you can always have a +12 moodlet (+20 if you do it right) on a pawn which can make or 8reak a colony.
Basically, having someone unsavory means that when the situation gets unsavory, you can still pull through it, and even benefit from it.
