Screenshot? If it has walls, a door and a roof it is a room. If it is missing any of that it isn't.

this pic shows one room is recognise while all others are just registered as outdoors

Does it say Outdoors (somenumber)? If so there are some roof tiles missing.

Not really i keep on checking the AIs which most of them complain sleeping outdoors, and when ever i try to hover over the rooms they wont recognise it like the one in the pic. As for the roof tiles i checked every square which says roofed tile

nevermind i just restarted the game and reloaded my save. After doing that all the rooms were assigned. But it will be annoying to do that repeatedly.

I am having an issue similar to this as well, except mine is not solved by just restarting my game and reloading.

While you cannot see the cursor in this screenshot, it is hovering over the Vancidium sculpture, which is approximately in the center of the screen. That room, and several other rooms in this facility, are registered as being "Outdoors." Not Unroofed (#).... actually Outdoors. I've reviewed all zoning possibilities, and as you can see there is a constructed roof over the room. (I went tile by tile to make sure it was there, too.)

Any clue what's up?

on quick look i would say, cause you have that "shot" holes in the wall there from another mod.
maybe thats bugging around.

Are you talking about the embrasures? If so, I think you are correct. They need to be full on walls to close in a room as far as I know.

Incorrect, or atleast on my game. I have a lot of embrasures along my wall and all of them are considered "indoors".

To OP: It might be a bug though, try a few things;
1: replace all embrasures to see if it is a bug (Save before, replace all of them, dosent fix the reload {no resources wasted if it isnt} )
2: Try replacing the doors
3: Zone the entire room as no roof, wait till they deconstruct the roof, then rebuild the roof, see if that works?

Thats all got to offer, sorry~

it is kinda cheating, having a solid wall to shoot through.
but this is the mod

it is also included in medieval times mod..

It is ED-Embrasures, search it in the workshop, should pop up. Basically like medieval times when people make holes or "slits" in the wall to rain fire down upon a besieging enemy. Really usefull and practical.

Fair warning - If you look on my screen you will see walls I set up to block view from the other side of the room, this is because turrets or colonists who spot a enemy on the other side will shoot at them, regardless of another colonist being in front of said enemy. Leads to alot of injured people if your not careful

As soon as I replaced the embrasures with normal walls, it made it indoors again. Thanks a bunch! :)
