Aaah i see , also , do fertilised eggs best to be in some refrigerated place? or heatwave wont affect them much?
If they are both mature then the hen will eventually fertilize the female's eggs, you can follow the egg progress by clicking on the female.
Once the egg(s) have been laid, make sure they are stored inside a building so they will not degrade and destroyed.
They will hatch automatically in time, given your colonist doesnt eat them (make sure you uncheck fertilized eggs in any cooking recipes).
edit: too slow
thats not chicken problems , i seen they do that also to any puppy animals
Tho with exeption of desert who happened only twice , mostly becouse desert not has many animal spawns , less preds too , only ones i seen are fenec , and scrabs who are considered small , and never atack on their own
Also most likely ill keep chickens in enclosed area
Of course you can do this with a roofless enlcosure as well.
Was more meaning how much food in it will be enough for them (grass growing inside coup)
During the growing season its not a problem at all, as I was saying they are eating the growing grass and are basicly self sustained.
thanks , i never relied on farm animals before , so ill see how it turnsout
