How to rescue animal ?

So i just had an infestation. I dealt with it pretty quickly. Now i noticed a downed Megaspider and i would like to rescue it and tame it. But i don't get a 'rescue' option. What am i missing ?

You cannot resque untamed animals. Which is pretty normal as it would be like: "Oh look that lion got felled by a heatstroke, let's put it in the living room and give it some meds"(it would annilate everyone once hungry)

You can rescue animals, they just don't auto tame. I had a grizzly bear go manhunter while trying to tame. He walked into my turret defenses and got a dozen wounds. Rescued him and patched up his wounds, great source of medical experience.

I don't think megaspiders can be tamed, even if you could they have 95% wildness(i think) making them poor pets. If you rescue it, it should start attacking you right after it's healed.

Try getting a grizzly bear. They're not too hard to tame at 80% wildness, can haul/rescue and are pretty tanky/fast.
