How to set a "rotting pile"?
What it says on the tine. How do I set up a dump zone for only rotting corpses. Seems like whenever I set one, sometimes they'll put good meat in there too.

When selecting the zone, the first option should be "Rotten". If you select only that, and then set the priority to the highest, I think it should work?

You need to uncheck "Allow Rotten" at the top of your stockpile list. Then, if you want a stockpile just for rotten stuff, you designate it, clear the allowed items (so everything is not allowed), and then check "Allow Rotten".

Tried that. The only thing sellected is allowed rotten, it's set for critical, but no one will move the ugly elk corpse.

I have this problem with creamators too.

Is it forbidden for some reason?

Nope. Dead for 9 days and rotting. Should be able to be moved easily.

Is it outside your Home zone?

Yes.

You need to have corpses checked as well as rotten. Make it a lower priority than your main stockpile. Make sure your main stockpile does NOT have rotten checked. Then it should work.

Not possible without mods. What I presume you did is either only "allow rotten", which is a rule that applies to nothing if it's the only box ticked. If you add any food resources - well, then those are obviously allowed to be stashed there.

Why would you EVER want to create a stash only for rotten goods though?

So that rotting bodies stay far away from my home? They look gross.

Why not right click it and prioritize hauling? If you really want to get rid of it... dig a grave and designate allow animals. Make sure the corpse isn't forbidden and then select it and prioritize burying

As someone else wrote. Have all other stock areas dissallow rotten and make a low priority stockpile allowing rotten corpse.

What will happen is, if the corpse is an animal, it will first be moved to the ordinary stock, waiting to be butchered or whatnot. If for some reason it spoils and begins to rot, it will be picked up and moved to the only stock allowing rotten corpses....
