ideology building styles
Please tell me there's a way somehow to force a pawn to use a single building style. I have one tribal pawn, who builds 1/3 buildings with the correct style (totemic) and everything else is generic/no style.

It is infuriating and a resource drain (trying to fix them after) to have all of the furniture mismatched, when everyone has the same ideology and I'm building a copy from the correctly styled building.

This happens when there are pawns with different ideoligions living together. If you primarily recruit pawns from prisoners, i recommend: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2841231775

If all your pawns are in the same ideoligion, and the ideoligion only has one building style, then your mods are at fault. (You can have an ideoligion with several building styles, and they pick one at random if this is the case)

They’re all of the same ideoligion, since it’s a new game. I don’t think the animal them has basic furniture so they should just be using totemic, but she’s using basic/rustic instead

My god, the peasantry of having mismatched furniture! I never!

I was deliberately trying to create mismatched styles and could not do it. What's your trick?

Broken or incompatible mods. If it's a new game and they are the same ideology, they should be building in one style.

Yes, that seems to be the case now. You can still create flooring of different styles though - seems to be the only thing. It also appears that if you buy a sculpture from a faction with a different style, the sculpture style becomes yours, judging from the fact that Style is missing in the Info section in the trade window.

None of my mods are broken or incompatible, I’ve checked the debug log constantly (because switching UI mods enabled the fridge mod which was not updated and caused an instant crash to menu from map loading) and the only construction one I have added is cobblestone flooring. The other mods are either weapons, clothing, or vegetables

Edit : the only difference between the pawn who built random furniture and one who didn’t is whether their childhood was tagged with “enables nature focus” tribal stuff, but I don’t think that should influence their building.
