Yeah, telescopes are trade only. There's also social and solitary. Social can be at any table or campfire, and solitary is something they can do almost anywhere, especially in their bedrooms. Meditation, prayer, going on a walk, all those.
Recreational drugs (smokeleaf , beer, and psychite tea) and exotic foods (chocolate and insect jelly) are also recreation types.
recreation types i recall are:
dexterous (horseshoe, billiard)
intelligence (chessboard, poker)
ambient (cloudwatching, meditation, telescope)
drugs (alcohol and/or others)
passive (tv also being used for bedresting pawns)
music (royalty/ideology instruments)
not sure if recreational food is its own thing or part of drugs
Dexterous
Cerebral
Solitary relaxation
Social interaction

Food consumption (chocolate and insect jelly)
Chemical (drugs)

That's 9 possible options, at max a colonist only needs 6 no matter their expectations. Usually I skip drugs and food and tend to forget to build a music one, and having just the other 6 is fine. If you haven't seen a telescope for sale though you have those as options.
