I can't say they're the exact same, but I have been able to take out entire packs of boomalopes before they had the chance to reach anyone. I don't think wargs will be that different.
Turrets will help too when they explode.
When i start to get established, i always go gor traps, they work wonder agaisnt everything if you have enough.
I never used turrets because I didn't want t lose the XP and the friendly fire in game always put me off. But if I can blow the Wargs up by sacrificing a turret that sounds ideal.
Both of these games were Tribe starts, and in the latter I had only just finished researching electricity so was still a way from turrets.
Thanks for the advice though, that sounds plausable

Behind the turrets there is a wall and doors, so mad animals stay and run all around the trapped area until they almost all dead.
Wow. Ok, yeah that looks like an effective set up. Cheers for the inspiration.
I feel sorry for the next pack of Wargs that come my way.
Is it safe to have your pawns near turrets (within radius) as long as they are not between a turret and a target?
Once you have this strategy down, manhunter packs just become free food.
