How Hard To Kill Thrumbo?

Just treat them like a raid and have everyone open fire, they go down easy.

That makes sense. I only have 4 people. Could they still take it down? Even with all pump shotty?

It's very easy , make one of your dudes attract his attention and run .

Then , make your other guys SHOOT him .

Just fight with clubs , knives , swords if you have 4+ people with these and at least 4 animals .

Check the thrumbo to see who it is targeting and have whoever that is move to the SIDE of the group, if you move them back the thrumbo will just re-target, having a set of deadfalls for it to go through is immensely helpful as well, other than that use weapons like assault rifles if you have them, a few turrets for the initial few salvos are also pretty useful, and the explosion from them if a thrumbo attacks them can whittle it down quite a bit. Don't use melee or tamed animals for the most part, it's not necessary and they'll get thrashed pretty badly.

Edit - I didn't see that you said your colonists have pump shotty. That is actually a very good weapon to use, having 9.23 dps vs an assault rifles 8.75.

at least two panthers , if you fight the thrumbo with only one panther , it will be just a ♥♥♥♥♥ for thrumbo .

I wouldn't fight it with anything other than bears, rhinos, or elephants in melee - everything else just gets tossed around and takes gun shots from your colonists. If you don't want to keep any animals you have and they're just eating up food then it makes a nice distraction - but it'll either die straightup, get an infection that kills it, or be permanently crippled from losing limbs.

No i meant how hard was it to fight a panther. Anyway ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i downed the thrumbo.. 0 damage.. It just runs away forever. Could i tame it? Lol

Does anyone have any tips for faster and better taming? I always get like 3% chance and it always fails.

Oh, fighting a panther is relatively easy, it only takes 1-2 well placed pump shotgun shots to kill it. I'd recommend switching everyone to spears/greatswords if you have them at all, less chance of everyone shooting eachother and/or completely missing it. If you can kill a thrumbo you can kill a panther

Thing is, i didn't kill the thrumbo. He went into shock about halfway through his hit points.

I took one down with 4 guys, 3 had survival rifles, and 1 guy had a pistol. Had the pistol guy open fire first, Mr. Thrumbo got pissed off and chased his ass while the other 3 fired off round after round at the thing. Pistol guy eventually ran inside, adn then rotated between 2 people, shoot, back inside, other come out and shoot, back inside.

God that thing kept us fed for ever 0_0

Isn't a thrumbo only 140 meat and 70 leather...? I'm pretty sure you're much better off selling the meat and leather instead of eating it/making things out of it xD
