Coolers make a LOT of heat on the red side, so all the heat goes through the ventilation to your base. (plus i read somewhere that temperature transferts can bug in very small areas)
Mountain bases are quite good at keeping temperature (good isolation) so all this heat from your cooler, dispatched in your base by the ventilation, stays there.
Given your base configuration, you would be better to use the north side of the fridge for your coolers (and have them dissipate heat on the outside or in an unroofed area).
Or have the ventilation dissipate to the outside if you prefer.
but if i just add a ventilation behing it, i become able to heat all a montain with a single cooler,
but because my base will be big in the final, it's good to know, i will be able to delete all the heater of my base and heat the hundred of kilometerr under the mountain base in adding only a ventilation behing the cooler ha ha ha,
but i view even if the door are open, the air seem blocked anyway in some room, and don't go in other room, so i think if i delede some door the air will be able to pass more far but i have bot tested for now...
Edit :
i can confirm the door are one of the problem, in my game i have testing this in deleting some door because the air don't pass even if the door are open, and deleting the door it's let's going the air enter in the room...
Now for me, depending on how I build I can tell you that the heat transfer through open doors are effective or awful depending on what you want to achieve (letting too much heat come in if hot outside, or too much leak out if cold outside...), but by no mean a precise way to contrtoll anything... unless you realy want to micromanage every details... so maybe if you use a mod, something is messing with that mechanic.
about the hot air from the cooler and the hydroponic room, i have make some test with it, and as you say, you have no control over the hot air they come from the cooler, and sometime it's can make dying the plant because it's come too hot, (room not enought big)
why i put a heater in the hydroponic room, it's because i view the air don't pass door even if they are open more of the time, so the hot air in the base don't go into the room, so i have choice to destroy the door or let's the door and put a heater,
by example, if i close the heater, and i open the door, in the winter time, they make sometime -25 outside, in the base they make 21 degree celcius, but in this room, (even with the door open), it's make only 11 degree celcius sometime less because the air don't go trough door, but in making test, i view if i demolish the door, the air pass and no need of a heater, but because i want door, i need to put a heater...
the reason why i drop the hot air of the cooler into the base, it's to use this air the heat the place, the fridge are next to a dinning room, (not finish to dig), the air will go into this, and because this room are a dinning room, i don't put door and the air will be able to go anywhere in the base (if they have no door) but the dinning room are relied to a big corridor they go everywhere in the base, so i use this air to heat the corridor,
so, even if i cannot control the hot air they go outside of the cooler, i can control it when i dig, more i dig and more the temperate going down in the base, so i adjust my work to make sure in digging the air don't go below 20 or 21 degree celcius, like this it's make always a place with a stable air where the people are well...
for the food supply, i have put my hydroponic garden there because i prefer to have the cooking place beside the cooler, the people go into the hydroponic place to recolt and transport thing to the cooler, they make it in one shot, but the people they make food, need to go always in the fridge to take or to put the meal, so they use it 200 x more than the people they go into the hydroponic place, it's for this the small room beside the fridge, i put the oven and the table for meat there, so because my cook can go into the fridge perharps neer 50 time by day and the people they go into hydroponic need to go into the fridge 1 time to each week, it's the best choice to make the cook more productive...
but if you don't use mod in your game, you can view it too, when you click on the cooler, it's show the space where they send her air, (white border the place where the air go), and you can view the air don't go into other room, (if they have door),
by example on my picture you can view the small room beside the frige where they have my oven, and they have a corridor next to it, but in my test, in putting the ventilation grid, the heat in the corridor go up to more than 52 degree celcius, but inside this small room they are just beside, (even if the door are open), they make only between 25 or 30, so it's a difference they are more than 20 degree, but it's sure if i destroy the door the heat inside this room will go up to 52 as the other room...
same thing for the hydroponic room and the heater they are in the corridor center, even if i close the heater in the hydroponic room, the heat from the heater in the corridor don't go into this room because of the door..., ect... ect...,
why i put so much door?, because it's for future prevention planned for control any possible invasion in the base, and to fight better again fire if i lost control one day, to control heating, when it's cool i have wanted to open the door to heat the place, but on this it's don't work because of the problem with the door when they are open they don't let's pass the air,
in big, i put more door to separate the base a little such a submarine, when you are in a submarine and the hull broke and water go in, they close door to keep control on other place, so even if the submarine have one room they are full of water the other are ok, it's the same thing in my base..., if a fire go too strong, i close the door to each side and wait until the fire go down by herself, i prefer to lost a small part of the base than all the base,
again for the invasion, if an enemy success to enter in my base, it's will take her a year to be able to reach my people they are not able to defend herself, sure they can broke the door but it's give me time to prepare my defense in this place, adding more trap, ect, before they can broke the door..., ect..., ect...,
but badly this tactic don't work again our avatar they become crazy, in one of my test, when this crazy people have been outside, i have lock all the door on her way to stop her advance and waiting they fall asleep, and like this avoid the fight and not obliged to kill it, but it's give nothing because they can pass the door such as if they are not locked and can go where they want and kill who they want...
With you base, 2 or 3 heaters (or fireplaces ot torches) would be more than enough to get a nice controlled 18 -20 C everywhere you want.
Later, you would need more as base gets bigger, but not a lot, and they use almost no power when shut down or not working at full strengh.
