How do I mine?

I mean, I press the mine tool and press a rock and it tells me something weird that I can't remember now and they don't mine it. Wtf?

have you got your miners set to a restricted area (zone).

if you can get the message it states when trying to use the tool it would help me debug this.

But simply put have you changed the area your pawns are allowed to move around in (under the restrictions tab ingame).

are you mining rocks or walls? you cant mine walls, you can "deconstruct" them.

if you click on the rock itself (as in select it) can you see a button that says "mine" with a pickaxe and does it work?

Those are not minable. They already been 'mined'. You need to create a dump pile then you can haul them away.

"chunks" are used on the stoneworking bench to make blocks to build walls with, "rock" is the minable walls mountains are made from.
