Is there a way to install non workshop mods on Steam version?
Couple times I had no Internet and the game ran fine. But the mods couldn't download. Which is weird considering i thought it downloads them the first time.

Sure you just drop them in the Mods folder.

Can I copied the workshop mods or do I have to download them from the website?

It is easier to just let Steam manage the workshop files. Not sure why you would have trouble playing offline though. It keeps a cache of them and only downloads them as needed. They won't show up in your mods folder though. They go somewhere else.

yes, uncompress the mod into ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\RimWorld\Mods

For the workshop location check in directory ..\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\ there should be a folder there

This is what I assumed was suppose to happen. Went to load my save, warning about mods popped up and I checked it said downloading.

Weird. Next time I play I'll shut off networking and see what happens. I know they are cached cause I had to deal with a syncing issue and clean them out once so not sure why it wouldn't just use them.

Not realy that weird, knowing steam won't launch a game in offline mode either when it requires an update. Guess the workshop files work the same way.

Hey almost all mods if not all have the best and latest versions on the ludeon.forums, I recently started using that site for 50% of my mods since the unstable 1.0 2004 does not have much mod support atm. I found many of my favorite mods there. as well as some that never made it to steam. Ofc steam is easy but the extra effort is worthwhile, plus thats where I am trying to post all of my bug reports and such.
