Is there no way to treat malaria?
My people have malaria. I've been treating it with medicine, and it is not going away, but only getting worse. How do I fix this?

It's treated just like any other disease. Your immunity goes up over time. Until it reaches 100% the disease gradually gets worse. Immunity buildup is much faster if you treatment quality is high, much faster if your character rests on a proper hospital bed.

It takes multiple treatments. There is a timer that shows how long until next treatment.

Ok so now my people have built up immunity, but the trait still hasn't gone away. How long will this be?

Once you have 100% immunity the disease will lessen and will go away within a couple of days, depending on how far it progressed.

so.... how is it possible to get malaria when its -30'c outside while a guy is mining... that doesnt make sense there are no insects to transfer the disease in that temp.

You're making an assumption that malaria on these planets would be transmitted the same way as it would be on earth.

Malaria on rimworlds are STDs, so spooky. You can't get rid of them without some godly meds. Or amputation.

Colony of 4 people.
1 fugitive requested aid with a pirate raid following if accepted.
As I pressed the button to accept, immediately 2 got malaria.
Before fugitive got to my base, heat wave begun.
Before I killed the pirates raiding my base, Toxic Fallout.

That is how you lose an almost perfect game...
Malaria was incurable by the way....

New game -> Go go go...

Malaria is spread through blood, which is why , on earth, misquotes can carry it. No matter what planet it is on, the pathogen would spread the same way, so either the game makes no sense, or it's not malaria.

No such thing in RimWorld.

Doesnt look like it was broken down, so here you go. All of these things will affect the speed your colonists gain immunity:

1) Doctor skill level
2) Bed type (medical is the best) / Possibly bed quality, not sure on this one
3) Medicine type (glitterworld is the best)
4) Vitals monitor attached to bed
5) Blood filtration level (things like injured organs/age/etc can affect this)
