And how to assign it to a zone? I cant find a zone editing button for animals

As above but when its milk is 100% (click on it and check bottom left info panel) you can right click the cow with a pawn selected who does tending work and have him prioritise that task.

you may as well kill the animal. why because as you already noticed you cant tell them not to eat your crops. I went rambo on them butchered everything, they do more damage than they are worth.

Only because you let them get to your food supply. Dumb animals are dumb you know, its up to their owners to stop them eating whatever they want.

That said muffalo are better than cows due to providing wool as well.

But cows give much more milk. You can milk them every day, instead of just every 4.

Why would you not just limit your animals' zone(s) they are allowed to go into so that it does not include things like your field(s) or freezer(s)?

You create an animal area that doesn't include the crop fields or food stores and assign the livestock to that instead.

that is why you create a pen for them to live in, you can also create zones to prohibit them from entering, like where you grow your food. Sounds like ur just not very good at rimworld.

It's now your job to make a time machine and go back in time 5 years to add pens into the game when this thread was made.
