Ancient cryptosleep caskets
Can i reuse them ? Or do i have to dismantle them for resources ?

Would be cool if i could put some ppl in them so that they don't eat food.

You can use them just select a colonist and click on the casket or click on a downed pawn to carry it to safety.

Yes you can reuse them and it puts the person, no matter what condition they are in, into stasis. It is awesome for storing prisoners or screwed up medical cases until you have the time resources to deal with them. You can't move them but that kinda makes sense I guess. When I luck into them I convert that room into the medical bay and use them for storage/emergencies.

I opened 1 and that triggered them all to open and suddenly I have 6 heavily armed people attacking me. Won the battle but 4 of my people are in cryosleep with life treatening infections.

Cryosleep isnt the most useful thing in the world as the pawns stored in them are still counting toward your population so they effect raid size.
They can be handy to help you survie harsh winters or blights followed by solar flares.
But really if the RNG is going to screw you, it will screw you, like starting with a solar flare, with a Zzzzzzzzz event before the flare ends which leads stright into a solar eclipse X.x
which happened to me along with a raid and a bug infestation meaning no turrets, all doors having to be opened manualy (bad when they are made of granet) and my entire colony being trapped between people with guns and giant killer bugs as all the hydroponics shut down, the fridges failed and... basicly the colony died. either murdered by bugs that popped up beside them while they were sleeping, shot by raiders, caught in fires or dieing in the berserk fits that followed. v.v
Basicly the RNG can shaft you no mater what >>

though bugs aren't as bad now, and you can always put power lines down all over the place to stop them pulling crap like popping up in bed rooms.

I just opened a room with 7 of them! some insects came out as well everyone inthe cryosleep chambers fled, i rescued one but as soon as he was ok he just walkeda away!!! I found Psychic insanity lance and some gold and weapons... I wonder what the other 4 sleepers had ... the colony saved them from death! I buried the other 3 near by.. also found lots of insect goo that is like unperishable food! It was a cool thing!

always store my halo-type super soldiers in there.. never thought of using them for when food runs low ++

They are most useful for freezing a person if you don't have the time to save them from a bad medical condition.

Does time pass for a grieving colonist if you put them in stasis sleep? When a spouse dies, the grief can be devastating for a long time. They go beserk, kill a pet, or get mauled... I don't suppose their grieve timer elapses while they're in stasis, huh?
