question for baby genes changes on new beta update
in the new update/beta how are genes now passed on if for example if a pawn with low melee damage(imp) and a pawn with high melee (Neanderthal) have a baby? are the genes of the two given out at random with the hunger rate at neutral? do positive genes overide negative ones or is it the other way round?

There is a 50/50 chance to get either opposing gene from parents of different xenotypes, the documentation says. So they would get 1 or the other melee gene.

If both parents are the same xenotype, all genes held by both parents should be 100% passed down.

In theory I would think that ANY gene held by both parents, even if they were of different xenotypes would pass down, but I haven't been able to test it out since unstable branch is down.
