Question about Deathrest chambers
So, I know that a room with a Deathrest cascet is classified as a Deathrest chamber, but, question I have before rebuilding my base, do Deathrest chambers replace bedrooms, i.e., if I assign a Sanguophage to a cascet, do they lose their assigned bed, or does a Sanguophage need both a Deathrest chamber and a normal bedroom? Given the Xenogerm for Sanguophages only includes the low sleep gene vs the never sleep one, I kinda assume the latter but I still want to make sure.

i have my deathrest caskets in my barracks and it doesn't interfere with anything and they get the impressive deathrest chamber bonus.

My previous sangu was sleeping in his bed (bedroom), did his deathrest in his chamber.
My actual protagonist sangu sleeping in her casket, but this way she don't gain the bedroom buff.

Little late to the party, but I found that if you have a deathrest casket in a bedroom it will cause issues with the bed. I have a double bed since my Sang is married and decided to put the casket in the same room to save space. Needless to say the bed is often unassigned... Just something to keep in mind.

Ya it's a very old thread and it's incorrect. Deathrest caskets are beds, and after deathresting in one it's assigned as that colonists bed and they will often choose to sleep in it and unassign their previous bed. Your issue isn't related to the casket being in the same room as the bed, it doesn't matter where you have the casket, that can still happen.
