How far can roof be supported?
I've been googling around trying to find out how large a room I can build with no supports that's covered by a roof.

I have a 14x14 building built that is fully roofed.
But googling says the most you can have is 10x10, which must be wrong as I have bigger?

12 x however long you want is max internal size with no supports. Roof tiles can be up to 6 tiles away from a wall, thus 6 from each side is 12.

So 6 squares of floor?
aka 2 walls with 12 floor spaces in between?

You can put a pillar ( single wall block) in the middle of larger rooms to fully roof it.
It is usefull for a trade becon stockpile roofed zone.

the roof is supported far as 6 tiles. That means the 7th tile must be supprted. And that is for everywhere, from every side. If there is any tile with is not in that range, the roof will not be builded or that tile will not be builded. That is what i found out for me, i cant promisse you thats 100% true for every situation, since i guess it is possible to support more tiles within a mountain
