Suggestion for Psychopaths
They need to recieve joy or a possitive moodlet from harvesting organs from a patient/killing patients. I decided to try the single colonist scenario and I made her a cannibalistic psychopath and was sad to see that she had no reaction to harvesting my first prisoner of all his organs until death.

Psychopaths don't care about other people. Not caring, and joy are two different things.

Someone who enjoys hurting other people is a Sadist.

Then they should add that trait

Someone with the bloodlust trait will enjoy harvesting peoples organs? Or just killing people? Because as far as I know, unless you're a psychopath, you get a big debuff to harvesting organs.

Remember in this game a psychopath is a sociapath, atleast i THINK thats how ive gone by this whole time because i know theres something wrong with the definition of "psychopath" in this game.

Isn't psychopath a really generic term? If I understand the root words it would just mean mental disease. Which could be any number of things, but I suspect you are correct in your assumption that sociopath (which I guess would also sound fairly generic going by root words...) but I think sociopath has a more specific and well defined definition.

EDIT: nope, It looks like I was right about the root words but wrong about the established definitions.

Did some minor research and neither psychopath nor sociopath are in the DSM, but it contains a more broad disorder called antisocial personality disorder. Psychopath and sociopath seem to be distinct "flavors" of the antisocial personality disorder that still contain the same basic symptoms (and don't seem to be particularly supported by psychology).

um... what was the original topic? *re-reads OPs post* oh... well I guess it doesn't matter which definition of psychopath you want to use, it still wouldn't mean they take a specific pleasure in hurting others. It would just mean they would do it if it benefited them in some way. I think the way the game has it set up currently makes sense.

And the only joy they would get from it would be getting closer to their goal, not the act itself.

As I said, a Sadist is someone who gets pleasure from hurting others.

That's true, but it's hard to tell if what individual pawns 'goal' or objective in life is/was from just their adulthood backstory. In the Crashlanded scenario, everyone's goal is a common one, but can the devs say the same for others like tribal or Rich Explorer?

"LOOKS LIKE MEATS BACK ON THE TABLE!"

For rich explorer i feel like its really all you, in which case i say meat on the table beat the prisoner and feed the dogs.

For tribal, it's almost just as practical "One less adversary is one less headache/worry" or "This one didn't have a black heart, for science, I need to open up more Pirates!"

Edit: actually scrap the first one. Killing would of been fine if "self defense" was their motive.
