Grandma got a shattered tibia, should I install a peg leg?
She's now moving at a crawl. Is there any negative aspects for replacing her shattered leg with a peg leg?

Peg leg will have 50% move speed compared to normal, so you'll have 75% move speed overall. And you doctor can fail during surgery and remove something he shouldn't (like stomach or brain). Otherwise no - no negative aspects whatsoever))

We are talking about the game, right?

Make sure not to accidently remove her right arm, silly things like that happen from time to time.

Kinda scary thought, that this conversation could be not about the game :DD

It is kind of crazy the randomness of surgery complications. It should be pretty hard to lop off an arm when putting in dentures.

I can imagine my surgeon operating on a patient right now...
"Hmmmmmm, let's see here. Toon here needs a peg leg." -rips open chest and pulls out heart- "To start, we need-"

"THAT'S NOWHERE NEAR WHAT HE NEEDED!!"

"Shut up Lumi, I got this." -rips out lung, too- "Now we just need to install the peg leg." -shoves a shaft of wood through the body- "There, all finished!"

Toon has died during surgery.
Heart: Destroyed.
Left Lung: Destroyed.
Left Kidney: Destroyed.
Liver: Destroyed.

"THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T GET TO BE THE DOCTOR, HARION!!"

"Shut up, Lumi. It was just a simple error. Now to treat Sephara's arm bruise..."

Sephara has died during surgery.
Heart: Destroyed.

Lumi is having a mental breakdown. She is hiding in her room.

"Lumi, it's time for your Malaria treatment~~~"

OK, I'll give it a shot with my best doctor. Her mobility is "very poor" and since she's incapable of skilled labor, hauling/cleaning were her responsability...

Don't want to frighten you, but it happens in real life that doctor amputate the wrong leg!

Don't have enough money for bionic but I'll keep that in mind for the future. Isn't there a larger chance of something going wrong when installing bionic (operator should be more complex)?

If you hover over the "very poor", you'll see an actual %

I had a chronically depressed but otherwise awesome chef. I bought him a joywire and had a highly-skilled doctor try and install it.

Critical fail, patient lost a lung and had surgical cuts all over his body.

What the heck, doc? Did you just close your eyes and start slashing wildly?

Well, it's not exactly Brain Surgery.... oh, wait.

*saws open skull and exposes brain*

"Where's the freakin' instruction manual for the joywire kit?"

In some playthroughs, my doctor turns out much more like the doctor from "House of 1000 Corpses".

Apparently Glitterworld medicine comes with a copy of Doctoring for Dummies so even lower skill doctors can perform miracles.
