Do insects attack wild animals?

So I've built a wall around the whole map, so manhunter packs can't attack my colony. (since they won't tear down the walls)

There's a huge bug hive in some caves way out on the map, and I'm making a path from the outside of the wall right to that bug hive, so that raiders, traders and manhunter packs have to go through the bug hive to get to my colony.

So, will the insects also attack manhunter packs, or will they just casually walk past?

Manhunter packs are a big deal for me now, since I can get 30+ elephants rolling in. Can't really beat them with what I have, without losing a load of turrets...

Nevermind, the animals are so stupid they won't go through the caves...

It was an awesome idea tho. Released a prisoner? Got by mauled by a mob of megaspiders. Raid? Same fate. Innocent traders? Uhh...

They've droped 5k silver as we speak, only from 2 caravans. Doesn't change much though since I've made 60k on selling drugs and sculptures :P

I play with EPOE, so sometimes I'm pillaging caravans holding advanced bionics. Last caravan raided incresed my total wealth by ~30%, from 110k to 150k (~110 days from start).

It's also most lucky caravan in my whole experience. I received adv bionic arm (+30% manipulation) when my second doctor was infected by sensory mechanites (massive +% to manipulation and sight, boosting medical success chance a lot).

And more armed enemies i had - better, i really want arm my colonists with good and excellent weapons ^_^
