Your count is off a bit, as one meals worth of pemmican is about 14-18, so that times 10 would be the same as 10 meals, although that is not my point. Instead of increasing that stack size, I'd prefer to see pemmican made into a thing where one pemmican equals one meal, and then just have the normal 10 stacks of any other meal. I'm basing that on pawns always eating a full meal's worth of pemmican every time. If they actually eat less sometimes, I guess the way it is now would be fine, with at least a stack of say 150 or so. But I don't think I've ever seen them eat less than a full meal's worth, I'd be interested to hear if other have seen such a thing.
You want to store more? Make a bigger storage zone.
I agree wholeheartedly. I started playng the game in 14 with a container based storage mod that allowed you to dedicate a pallet/skip/etc to one product and stack 900/650/455 depending on container/product. It hasnot been updated to 15 and I now feel like the game is spread across 5 times more map than neccessary, and my pawns spend all their time walking. Game changer in a very positive way IMO.
Or let us have the option to build shelves for a more efficient use of space.
I don't know, something like that.
For rest - don't hoard stuff, sell it to neighbors.
I really love this little mod. It doesn't feel OP at all.
Except it's allow to build industrial-grade storage in bedroom-sized room :)
You're comparing the sturdyness of the storage elements to the size of a room you can put them in? What? XD
Do you saw any warehouse in real life? They all HUGE.
And now in-game. This is my current freezer and while it can be a bit bigger, i'm having more then enough supplies for 17 colonists:

(currently I'm missed chicken-xplosion and temporary have zero stored vegs)
This is my global storage, currently overflown by raiders goods, but I'm already called trader to me and wait him to clean that mess:

I'm don't understand why we need storage mods if we still limited with ~12-15 colonists. Except kibble. Yes, kibble should stored like hay.
Have too much stuff in storages? Pay 600 silver, call trader and sell all useless stuff. It's nice to have large amount of coins - sometimes orbital traders bring several bionics and it's very cool to buy them all.
Anyways, I'm guessing you're talking about the textures for the mod that I linked?
Well, if you don't know how those structures in the game and related mods are build up I can understand why you would write off a mod based on its looks. It's rather easy to use other textures for it, giving it a wholefully different look! :)
Game-wise, it doesn't matter if it looks like a steel skid, a wooden pallet, a medicine cabinet or a simple locker. It's storage. You can place it anywhere, even within storage zones, and it will instantly upgrade the room from having stuff lying randomly on the floor to looking somewhat like actual storage solutions.
One could always get alternative textures for a mod and change it for themselves. Or one could always ask if someone else has any texture options.
It's the same with weapons. They're all the same iteration of code, with some relatively minor changes to values here and there for an attempt at variation. In essence, the minigun is the same weapon as the pistol. :)
And with mod "storages" we can colossal amount of mats in tiny room like 4*4. It's very unrealistic.
What I'm really want is ability to stack clothing. But this's look very improbable because of game mechs.
