How do I make someone continuously do something?
Whenever I tell someone to do somthing like cut down trees. They cut down one tree and then go off and do something else. How to I make them do someting repeatidly?

Since you have played much, you may not know about priority assigning. So you can manually set each person's job priority. So if you want someone to, when they aren't eating or having joy or sleeping, be a miner, you can set their priority for that, to 1, highest priority.

Check out the work tab.

Very true, but if you make them run away far across the map, they might be hungry or tired by the time they cut down the first tree, you have to keep that in mind.

thank you. I have no experience in this game :/

Also, how do I make them stop running across the map to haul random things?

If they are hauling stuff far away, it probably means they don't have much else to do at the moment, since hauling is quite low in the priority of things to do ( outside of manual priority )

They kinda just run across the map and grab dead animals. And idk how to stop them.

Dead animals should be marked as forbidden unless you set them as hunt, did you mark all animals as hunt by any chance?

Did you also have no idea what you were doing at first? Like absolutley no clue?

Not really, I've play dwarf fortress, gnomoria, that weird game where you were gearing up heroes, and so many others.

But I started with DF, which requires roughly 4 hours of reading wikipedia to live the first year.

Don't be too hard on yourself, make mistakes and learn from them, it's all about the Fun[dwarffortresswiki.org]

Im sure ill get the hang of the game eventually. It wouldn't have great reviews if it was way too hard.
