Help Me Understand Trade Ships.
I don't understand, how do i access them?

You have to build a comms console. Once you get a notification that a trade ship is nearby, send a colonist (one with high social is best) to the comm station and then select "Contact <name of the trade ship>.

You also need at least one orbital trade beacon. Purchased goods will be dropped down near it, and any items you intend to sell need to be within its range.
