How to raise relations?

I want to make friends with the pig people (-80), but am unsure how. The only concrete way I read is to rescue a raider from the clan, and release them after. I will attempt that but the opportunity won't happen often.

I read I can't trade with them through caravan, but what about giving gifts? How do I even accomplish that? Will there be a button for "gift" like there is for trade if I send a caravan to the settlement?

Also, how long does it take for another settlement to restock supplies you buy out?

You can send them gifts via transport pods. Just load whatever you wanna give them into a pod, make sure said pod has enough fuel to reach one of their settlements and send it. It'll show you the amount of goodwill you'll get as you hover over their settlement. You'll need to send a lot of good stuff if you wanna make them into an ally seeing as they're at -80.

Obviously there's more methods like quests and rituals (assuming said rituals are set to the faction goodwill reward).

You can send a caravan to one of their towns. There will just be an option to 'Offer gifts' there. Drop pod gifts also work.
