(Solved) Nocturnal caravans
With the addition of Biotech and the new traits that came with it I formed a nocturnal tribe. However it seems they obey exactly the same rules as diurnal caravans. Is there a setting I'm missing here or is it simply not an option?
Is anyone aware of a mod that can change this if it can't be altered within the game?
Edit: There is a night time toggle in the Caravan Adventures mod for anyone having the same problem.

Caravans ignore ideology and biotech mechanics related to day/night preference. I don't know of any mod that changes it, but you might be able to find one with a search. The only unmodded way to get caravans to move at night is to remove all occupant's need for sleep, using half-cyclers or the sleepless gene which was a new change in one of the recent hotfixes. Probably easier to just switch to transport pods if your colony doesn't like being out and about during the day.

Its unfortunate there's not a toggle to decide whether to move during the day or night cycle. As this is a tribal run the technology that you've suggested isn't an option. I suppose the only fix would be the sleepless gene, which I suppose I could add with the dev tools.

I have a mod that has a toggle on the map for caravans to travel at night. I can't find which one it is though. It is handy for my nocturnal people.
It may be Caravan Adventure but it doesn't say on the mod page. That mod does have a bunch of caravan stuff.
