Do ancient exostriders appear on new tiles?
I've left my starting tile far behind but want to get a mechanitor. Do I hope for a quest or can I send a pawn out settling random tiles until I get an exostrider on it?

No, only your initial starting tile has the exostrider. If you've abandoned your starting tile and moved elsewhere without starting the mechinator quest, you'll have to wait for a random event to give it to you.

I found a base with a mechanitor in a crio casket. But he was a skeleton when I opened it :D
