Cut the effin blight!

Why don't colonists EVER prioritize cutting out blight? you can set every person to cut and they will still wander around ignoring it. Somehow this needs to be adjusted with the cut blight command having higher priority.

If it's critical, just make a zone and then restrict your pawns to that zone until they get the job done.

It's in your hands. Make cut plants the highest priority job, click the option to cut all blighted plants, all colonists who aren't eating/sleeping/recreating will go cut the blighted plants. There's nothing else that really needs to or can be done here.

What I have done is create a zone, and make all the people I want to cut the blight assign them to that zone. That does the trick, unless they are too tired and fall asleep in your blight field.
