Babies and the never sleep Genes

So I made a race with high fertility and high Libido as well as making a ideology where love is free and approved.

Several days in they have not made love even once, is it a conflict where if a pawn never sleeps IE uses a bed they will never make love and have children?

Yes pawns need to use a bed at the same time for loving to have a change to happen in Rimworld. If they never sleep then it wont happen naturally (you will have to use artificial means instead).

Good to know, guess it's a program limitation that pawns won't make love for joy and children without it.

Dev's are working on a hotfix, hopefully they can change how this works tho I'm guessing it'll take more than just changing a few numbers, just gona avoid the sleepless stuff for now.

So they find a fix for that, my no mixed beds trick to keep them from making babies too soon is out the window I think.

They will just make sleeping together as a recreative activity that two pawns do together.

There might be some positives in this situation. One could add the possibility of woohoo even outside the bed.

as long as they have "sleep" scheduled they will use a bed for some hours... not to sleep but for "resting".

and if a couple happens to rest at the same time... wonderfull things can happen.

havent checked that with the never sleep genome but with two colonists with an installed circadian half cycler...

and regarding free and approved love... i haven't managed to get pawns that ain't in a relation to do adult stuff without the help of an adult mod... lovers and other couples how ever give the whole free love ideology colony a mood buff after their bed time adventures.
