got banned from the Community Discord server, lol

someone reported me for having the word (Anti-♥♥♥♥) in my AboutMe.
This was enough to get me banned permanently and All of my appeal was rejected claiming that (This server is not for you) meanwhile i have been there for more then a year.

can't wait to get banned here for discussing this aswell.

I think what most people here (baring the obvious) are complaining about is the issue of getting punished but not being given the reason behind it.

Which is fair. Not being told WHY you're in trouble doesn't do anything to stop people from repeating their mistakes, and a LOT of places will ban you for breaching *insert rule* and if you ask why their 'reason' is that you broke *insert rule*.

You'd be annoyed if a police officer pulled you over while driving and told you you were under arrest because they're placing you under arrest.

Rules should be followed. They should *definitely* be enforced. But they also need to be understood, otherwise they're pointless.

I'm amazed at how trusting everyone is. A user shows up saying they've just been perma banned for doing nothing and saying nothing, and that all of their appeals were used up because the mods were being unreasonable meanies. And the reason for the ban was that someone was sifting through every single profile on the server list one by one and happened to see a naughty word?

I have no idea what actually happened, but gosh, this all sure does sound very plausible and trustworthy.

The idea of people being permitted to live their lives in equality is a burden that lives rent free in your head, OP. You're so bothered by the concept of all men being created equal that you went out of your way to be as edgy as you can. As a result, you sort of got what you wanted. Rather than get called out in the Discord, they just disposed of you for being a drain on the community. Without the attention that you initially sought, you had to come here as a final attempt to show everybody how brave you are.

I've been to forums where exactly this happens... It is so normal for me that I have no reason to doubt it.

First: It's ♥♥♥♥ sapiens. Two words, and the last one ends in "s" and has an "a" and an "e" in it, not two "a"s. "♥♥♥♥" means "human." "Sapiens" means "wise." (Though whoever named our species obviously never met the majority of them or else we wouldn't be called "wise" at all.) So, you're saying that you hate humans and don't want to be a human. So, that makes you a misanthrope. Which, frankly, I think is kind of worse than "just" being a homophobe, but you do you. Have fun.

Second: I think it's pretty dumb to ban someone for a word in their profile unless they're being an ass in the discord. But, if that's the rules, that's the rules. As I understand it, individuals have discords accounts. That means that they make the rules and "free speech" doesn't apply. The only thing that applies is if they're doing something illegal. Otherwise, it's their house, their rules, and you either agree to abide by the rules or you leave or are forcibly kicked out. That's how it goes.
