Biotech Bugged?
I have a problem , I installed the Biotech update and got a few mods inside that are compatible with 1.14 but the moment I want to start a game it just loads the map and.... kicks me back without any ERROR. so I can stay in a loop there, generate map -> kicks me back -> generats map and so on

any idea guys?

the fact the mods say they're 1.4 compatible does NOT have to mean they still work nicely together... I spent about an hour today (on request) to assemble a modpack from mods that were previously working in 1.4 but now the DLC has hit some of them don't like eachother much anymore

for me when i enable a few mods a then reset the game it just loads a black screen, so can even go back to my mod menu to or check for any errors with the mods

The game will reset mods by default when it fails to load...
if NO MODS are loaded and you still get a black screen then follow this method:

1) UNSUBSCRIBE from all mods (make backups of them if you need to via a modmanager)
2) VERIFY the game's files
3) Restart the game
4a) If this fixed it you can then start adding mods again
4b) if this did NOT fix it the only other option is to do a CLEAN reinstall of the game

you said it yourself lol. uninstall the mods
Map gen errors are almost always mods, sometimes they are a symptom of corrupted base files though.

I had to uninstall the game entirely, then go into my appdata/locallow rimworld folder and delete everything in there. I'm guessing that a mod had saved some settings in there, and even though the mod wasn't installed anymore the game was trying to load something related to factions that didn't exist anymore.

My map generated, but it was entirely empty of all factions. Trying to pick a location and start the game just gave an error and sent me back to picking a location.

The way steam "uninstalls" something is by leaving user preference data intact... that goes for mod-settings too. Sure it's handy for when you want to reinstall something... but well... this kinda proves it's a double-edged sword in some situations too xD

Okay it worked with just no mods... I hope mod owners are working quick :D
