How to bury colonists in a Sarcophagus?

Had a person die unexpectedly, felt bad about it so I decided to build her a stone sarcophagus instead of just a grave. Once it was built I could get no one to actually bury her though.

I did assign the Sarcophagus to her through its menu. But clicking on either her corpse or the sarcophagus itself wouldn't show a job to force. Nothing grayed out as expected if no one allowed to haul. I built a small wooden box with roof around it to make a tomb, but still nothing.

Any idea what I am doing wrong? I have buried raiders inside graves before with no issue. Can't say I remember ever burying in a sarcophagus before though. Maybe I am missing something.

If you're editing the sarcophagus container options to allow colonists you should be able to right click the dead person and it'll say bury in sarcophagus. I think by default you can't bury your own colonists or dead animals in them and have to edit them like a container.

All I did was "assign" the sarcophagus to her. I will look to see if there is another menu I didn't notice.

So I did get her in the grave. I ended up "un-assigning" it from the girl I wanted buried, making it generic. After that I could click on her body and the job came up to bury her.

Not sure why that helped, but w/e.

Solution: Make sure you don't have another storage zone that accepts corpses with a higher priority.

That's what fixed it for me.

yeah, graves and such are only important IIRC.

I usually put my dumping stock pile at low and more important highly customized piles at normal (or above as needed).
