I'm sure there is or will be, there are mods for everything, but it seems like a real oversight that it isn't in vanilla. Weapons, but no armor? Why?
Maybe some overly optimistic attempt to keep players from slotting 7-year-olds into the battle line?
That'll do it, I'd say.
Probably safer to shove them indoors and hope a meteor doesn't impact the nursery.
Spoiler: a meteor impacted the nursery.
Randy: They'll never see it coming! Kekeke
On a serious note. Technically you wouldn't have your kids wear armor I reckon, you'd send them as deep into your base as possible and as far away removed from any enemies. The best armor sometimes is to simply not engage the enemy.
Though I do agree with the OP, there's a serious lack of clothing / armor for kids. Tribals don't even have kids clothing! This is absurd :(
We got parkas but no kid dusters? smh
I mean they don't need the full theatre of clothing adults have but at the very least SOMETHING that can provide them with the necessities of the early game. And mods shouldn't be the answer to this glaring deficiency. Some people actually enjoy playing vanilla
Look, if tynan didn't want us to send them to war, he wouldn't have given them the ability to hold swords and rifles.
Then you're left with a kid sized flak vest of poor quality, also tainted.
That's like the old 'For sale: baby shoes, never worn' except maybe more depressing. Or amusing. One or the other. 'For sale: Child Flak Vest (Poor T)'
even the dscription of the only armor piece you can make in kids size plain and simply states that, if the wearer actually had to use this piece... something clearly went horribly wrong.
the only thing that would make sense for that kids helmet would be a skateboard...
I subscribe to a Nietzschean parenting philosophy. The rim is no place for the weak. If my offspring can't deal with a few maneating turtles what good are they.
So basically, agoge. Or at least, the popular fantasy of what the agoge was.
