im on year 3 and its been so easy, ive been able to build the biggest base ive ever made and i leave the game on 3x speed while im afk. it says ive had 20 raids in the past 3 years but the raids are like really small and not very powerful so its just boring, im craving the drama!

Open your storyteller options in gameplay tab and crank up threat levels.

That's randy for you. He is random. Sometimes he will not do anything bad to you, other times he will send streaks of bad events upon you so much that you won't be able to recover quickly enough.

If you want consistent raids go with Cassandra on Losing is fun. She is considerably more difficult than Randy because she has a raid schedule.

Or download as many storyteller mods as you can get your hands on and then add the Hotseat mod which will swap out storytellers for a new one at random.

The main reason I stopped using Randy (I like the Vanilla Expanded storytellers now) is because of that. Year-long streaks of absolutely nothing except growing corn, eating corn, and researching things to do with corn. It's all good but eventually it gets a little boring.
