Baby put in growth vat and release at age 3 or grow naturally?
Since it says that learning occurs later. Is it better for babies to be put in the growth vat to be released at age 3 or should i just let the baby grow naturally? Does it affect the learning outcome of the baby? Baby is taking so long to grow to a child.

The first growth spurt from baby to small child doesn't give any particular passions, traits or anything like that. So it'd be safe to put them in for those first three years to skip the hassle of caring for 'em.

It buffs social for the pawns that look after the baby.

Yeah, this seems to be the only reason I can see. Otherwise putting them back in til they are three makes a lot more sense.

"I told you to clean your room, Jimmy."
"I'm playing right now."
"I TOLD you to clean your room. Now."
"I'm not a slave!"

When they switch from baby to child you get a popup asking if you want to enslave them at that point, even a child of 2 colonists. That's just RimWorld apparently.

I wouldn't count on any relationship bonuses from raising a baby, there are some but there's just about as much of a negative relationship hit every time the baby cries. It ends up being mostly a wash. Baby giggles do provide a bit of a mood boost to people nearby, but it's a hugely demanding task to take care of a baby in the game so it probably is much more efficient to shove them in a vat for a bit.

I can't seem to put them back in the vat as a baby after they have been birthed. I want to age them up so they are fun and 3 years old, but I can't seem to do that.

Food is stupid easy to come by now with a swarm of agribots and hydroponics setup, I just think of them as efficient little cleaner/haulers that give social buffs to everyone around them.

You have to wait. I noticed this last night myself. if you wait a little bit (just a day or two) the option should come up again when you click the growth vat.
